OGC’s History

The OGC Construção brand, with the corporate name OGCL – Oficina Global de onstrução, Lda., was founded on the 11th of March 1994 and has its origins in the carpentry experience and the know-how of its founding partners. OGC is dedicated to different types of medium-sized construction work, strategically focusing on urban regeneration.

Foundation and early years (1994)

It was set up in 1994 under the name Julião & Julião, Lda. by the current partners, who have decades of experience in the carpentry, engineering and construction sectors.

First reformulation (2003)

In 2003, the company changed its name to OGC – Oficina Global de Carpintaria, Lda. This change reflected a strategic renewal and a repositioning in the market.

Expansion and upgrade (2015)

In 2015, the company incorporated the economic activity of construction into OGC Carpintaria. It now includes construction in its portfolio, which until now had been called OGCL – Oficina Global de Construção, Lda. Over the years, OGC has evolved, adapting to market changes and expanding its range of services to better meet the needs of its customers. The brand continues to be recognized for its quality and experience in the construction and carpentry sector.

OGC began its activity in the wood industry in 1994, and since then has produced all traditional carpentry work in solid wood or derivatives.

Urban Construction and Rehabilitation

In 2015, the construction and urban rehabilitation side of the business was incorporated. In this business area, we have the know-how acquired over more than 30 years by our partners, technicians and foremen who specialize in engineering and construction.
